LUMINOUS SEQUENCES (1967)
With Successioni luminose, Fogliati obtains a light effect that can completely disorientate the observer and overturn the physical laws of “matter”.
The piece consists of a white light projector and a vertical disc-shaped aluminium support painted white, revolving at high speed.
The projector, created by the artist, features a specific program.
The beam of light directly illuminates the disc and creates an effect that changes the perception and material use of the disc, which appears to be deformed and to multiply, so that three intersecting discs are seen simultaneously.
The impression received by the observer is a light sculpture that changes form and number in increasing/decreasing sequences.
